Moreston Quay
Seal spotting is a popular activity in Blakeney, but boat trips for this normally depart from the nearby Moreston Quay.
The boat trip takes you through the protected water around Blakeney Point, where you can observe both grey seals and common seals laying on the sandbanks, or swimming nearby.
These hour-long tours are recommended as it offers a unique and close-up view of the seals in their natural habitat. It provides an incredible wildlife experience while minimising disturbance to the animals.

The best time to see grey seal pups is during the winter months, while common seals are more active during the summer. However, no matter what time of the year you go, it's likely you'll be able to see the seals, so don't fret!
Along the way to the seal colony, you'll also be able to enjoy scenic views of salt marshes, tidal creeks and birdlife.
Make sure to research tide times and boat departure times for the day you want to visit, to avoid disappointment.
