Top Tips

Spend at least half a day, and ideally more, to fully explore the area. There's plenty to see around here, and can be a good day out for the entire family.

Greenwich Park

As one of London's oldest royal parks, it offers sweeping views over the River Thames. In the past couple of decades, you can especially see the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf being built right in front of you.

It's a popular destination for both locals and tourists. You'll see many people sitting here having a chat over a picnic all along the slope, enjoying the views of Central London.

The park is home to several notable landmarks, including the Royal Observatory, the Prime Meridian Line, and the Queen's House, all of which you can visit.

Greenwich Market

A vibrant, historic market known for its mix of art, antiques, crafts and street food. Every since the 18th Century, it draws visitors with its lively atmosphere and unique offerings from independent traders.

Browse the selection of stores selling jewellery and vintage clothing, whilst savouring dishes from all around the world.

Cutty Sark

One of the last surviving tea clippers, it showcases Greenwich's rich maritime history. Built in 1869, the Cutty Shark is a sailing ship designed for speed, transporting tea from China to Britain at a record pace back then.

Today, it is preserved as a museum, where you can explore its decks and explore its fascinating history.
